I really liked the first book (even though the faction thing was kind of weak and arbitrary), but the second one made no sense and I didn't bother reading the third.

Thanks, CM. The deleted post was from a few years ago.... Relatively recently, I reverted nearly 500 posts to draft. I started sorting through those posts and republishing some of them over the weekend. In that process, I lost the original publication date of a few posts, which is why that post popped up as if it were new.
Phew! That's what I was hoping, since I had seen a bunch of other posts pop up about law school and the bar exam.
